Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the importance of upholding democratic values as a tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his 135th birth anniversary. Naidu praised Ambedkar’s journey from facing caste discrimination to becoming a revered figure in India’s history.
Naidu credited Dr. Ambedkar for laying the foundation of India’s strong democracy through the Constitution. He highlighted Ambedkar’s role in ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all citizens, urging everyone to uphold his ideals and act as responsible members of society.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K.T. Rama Rao also paid homage to Ambedkar. Kalyan remembered Ambedkar as a visionary leader who championed social justice and equality, while Rao praised him for his efforts in securing rights for marginalized communities and designing India’s Constitution.
Rao further emphasized Ambedkar’s influence on the governance of Telangana, attributing the state’s formation to his vision. He highlighted the government’s initiatives to honor Ambedkar’s legacy, including erecting a statue and naming the Telangana State Secretariat after him.
