Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu participated in the self-enumeration exercise for Census 2021 by registering his personal details online. The process, known as ‘House Listing – Housing Census,’ began in the state, with the Chief Minister registering on the website se.census.gov.in.
J. Nivas, the Director of Census for Andhra Pradesh, briefed the Chief Minister on the self-enumeration process, which involves answering 33 questions. Citizens have until April 30 to register their household details online, after which enumerators will conduct door-to-door census enumeration from May 1 to May 30.
Chief Minister Chandrababu emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring equal welfare and development for all citizens in the state. He highlighted the importance of using family units to plan development initiatives and underscored the role of the census in achieving this goal. This census, the first in Andhra Pradesh since the state’s bifurcation, is seen as a foundation for future development.
The census will be conducted in two phases, starting with house enumeration followed by data collection next year. The Chief Minister encouraged the public to actively participate in the online registration for the house listing and census program, stressing the importance of providing accurate information for the state’s development. He called on everyone to contribute to the success of the census exercise.
