Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to ensure the safe return of individuals stranded in Middle Eastern countries affected by war. He held a review meeting with Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) officials and representatives of Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS). The Chief Minister emphasized the need for coordination with the Central government to facilitate the return of people from nations like Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Qatar, and Kuwait.
He directed authorities to promptly reach out to those stranded due to the conflict and flight disruptions, providing necessary assistance without delay. Naidu stressed the importance of close coordination between APNRT and RTGS for relief efforts and continuous monitoring of the situation. Officials were also tasked with maintaining regular communication with the Central government and Indian embassies in the affected countries.
Assuring full support to stranded individuals, the Andhra Pradesh government, in collaboration with APNRTS, has initiated measures to ensure the safety of Telugu people in Gulf countries. The Chief Minister advised those stranded not to panic but to seek refuge in secure locations until airports reopen and flight services resume. Additionally, a 24/7 helpline has been established for assistance, with temporary accommodation being arranged through APNRT coordinators.
