Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed sorrow over a tragic accident involving a tourist bus carrying pilgrims from Nellore district to Varanasi, resulting in three fatalities. The incident, which occurred near Bihar’s Aurangabad, prompted the Chief Minister to extend his condolences to the affected families.
Naidu, deeply saddened by the loss of three lives, engaged with officials to ensure proper medical care for the injured individuals. The bus, transporting 46 pilgrims from Nellore, collided with another vehicle near Aurangabad, leading to three immediate deaths and injuries to 15 others.
In response to the Chief Minister’s instructions, Andhra Pradesh officials are actively collaborating with Bihar authorities to provide necessary aid to the victims and arrange for the safe return of the surviving pilgrims to their hometowns. Efforts are underway to facilitate the transportation of passengers who sustained severe injuries back to Andhra Pradesh for further treatment.
Reports indicate that the tragic accident, which occurred on National Highway 19 in Aurangabad district, resulted in three fatalities and 20 injuries. The bus, en route from Bodh Gaya to Varanasi with pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh, collided with a truck-trailer in the Mufassil police station area. Eyewitnesses mentioned that the collision happened as the bus driver attempted to overtake another vehicle.
