Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the state government’s commitment to holistic health by introducing yoga to every household. He announced plans to establish yoga centers in all villages during the ‘International Yoga Day’ event at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Vijayawada. Naidu, along with Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, demonstrated various yoga poses, including Pranayama and Anulom-Vilom techniques, wearing a ‘Yogandhra’ logo T-shirt.

On the occasion, the IGM Stadium witnessed a large turnout of students and youth led by Ramdev Baba in early morning yoga sessions. Officials, employees, and the public engaged in yoga exercises, with CM Naidu urging everyone to take responsibility for societal welfare. Naidu disclosed that over one crore individuals practice yoga in 1.33 lakh centers across the state, aiming to make yoga accessible to all households for public health benefits.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting yoga globally, Naidu highlighted India’s leadership role in yoga’s international recognition. He stressed the physical and mental health benefits of yoga, praising Ramdev Baba’s efforts to popularize yoga. Naidu envisioned a spiritually enriched Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing the synergy between technology and spirituality for a prosperous future.

The Chief Minister revealed his personal 30-year yoga practice, crediting it for helping him navigate daily challenges effectively. He recalled the success of ‘Yogandhra-2025’ in Visakhapatnam, where records were set, and announced Tirupati as the venue for the next International Yoga Day. Naidu encouraged a shift towards natural farming, promoting chemical-free food consumption and increasing the state’s green cover to 50%.

Certificates from the World Book of Records were presented, acknowledging the participation of 1.07 crore citizens and 2.5 lakh instructors in yoga across Andhra Pradesh. Union Ministers, Education Minister Nara Lokesh, State Ministers, MPs, and other dignitaries joined the event, emphasizing the importance of yoga in daily life.
