Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in Singapore to discuss collaboration in technology, semiconductors, quantum computing, Artificial Intelligence, and university research. The meeting, held at the Singapore Prime Minister’s official residence, lasted for 30 minutes. Naidu sought Singapore’s assistance in developing the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem and in capacity building.
He also requested support for urban governance initiatives in Amaravati and other urban areas across the state. Naidu highlighted the progress made in developing Amaravati as a globally benchmarked capital city with top-notch infrastructure and institutions. The leaders explored potential partnerships in areas such as semiconductors, AI, quantum technologies, R&D, university collaborations, urban governance, leadership development, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.
Naidu shared Andhra Pradesh’s advancements in natural farming, aquaculture, food exports, healthcare, clean energy, green hydrogen, and green ammonia with the Singapore Prime Minister. He invited Singaporean government-linked companies and industry leaders to participate in Amaravati’s growth and contribute to an innovative, sustainable, and economically vibrant future. Naidu also discussed the cultivation of crops using natural farming methods and proposed collaboration on port and airport development opportunities.
The Chief Minister emphasized Amaravati’s potential to become one of the most liveable cities and discussed public health, infrastructure development, and population management with the Singapore PM. They deliberated on global population decline issues and Andhra Pradesh’s goal of generating 160 gigawatts of green energy. Additionally, they touched on topics like affordable housing, childcare, and the construction standards of Amaravati’s educational institutions and infrastructure projects.
