Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced the launch of a monthly economic report to enhance governance through data-driven decision-making. This initiative aims to monitor economic growth continuously and improve administrative efficiency by assessing Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), revenue receipts, and departmental performance on a regular basis.
The state claims to be the first in India to implement such a monthly economic report. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of focusing on citizen satisfaction by providing better services and urged government departments to conduct regular field visits to address public grievances effectively.
Naidu highlighted the government’s commitment to transparency and efficiency in governance by utilizing technology and real-time data. He directed officials to expedite grievance redressal through the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) and resolve complaints promptly to ensure zero pendency.
Efforts are underway to leverage technology, including Artificial Intelligence tools, to streamline governance processes and boost revenue collection. The state has witnessed a significant 24% increase in revenue collections across various departments as a result of these measures.
