Veteran actor Anil Kapoor marked the 26th anniversary of his action thriller “Pukar” by listening to the song “Sunta Hai Mera Khuda” on repeat. He shared his tribute on social media, playing the song from the movie to honor the special occasion. Kapoor tagged his co-star Namrata Shirodkar in his Instagram Stories, expressing his fondness for the track.
The song “Sunta Hai Mera Khuda,” featuring Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, and Swarnalatha, was composed by Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman. It includes lyrics by Javed Akhtar and Majrooh Sultanpuri and was choreographed by Prabhu Deva, picturized on Anil, Namrata, and Madhuri Dixit.
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, “Pukar” also stars Danny Denzongpa, Shivaji Satam, and Om Puri in supporting roles. The film, produced under S K Film Enterprises, showcases Major Jaidev Rajvansh’s journey, played by Anil Kapoor, as he embarks on a mission to rescue a politician from terrorists, encountering a love triangle in the process.
Anil Kapoor’s upcoming projects include the lead role in Suresh Triveanhi’s “Subedaar,” where he portrays Arjun Singh, a former soldier navigating civilian life and his relationship with his daughter Shyama, played by Radhikka Madan. Additionally, Kapoor is set to feature in Alia Bhatt’s “Alpha.”
