The Anti-Gangster Task Force in Rajasthan has apprehended Raju Ram, also known as Raju Pilwa, the main figure of the infamous ‘007 gang’ in Jodhpur district. Pilwa, a hardened criminal with a history of offenses at Lohawat police station, was on the run and carried a reward of Rs 25,000. This arrest signifies a significant breakthrough in combating organized crime in western Rajasthan.
Raju Pilwa faces 48 serious criminal charges, including attempted murder, possession of illegal arms, drug trafficking, and involvement in firing incidents. The operation to capture him was initiated based on precise intelligence provided by AGTF Constable Sunil. A specialized team, led by SP Gyanchand Yadav and ASP Narottam Lal Verma, and supervised by DSP Phoolchand Tailor and ASI Rakesh Jakhar, successfully carried out the arrest.
Pilwa was seized by the AGTF team while waiting for his associates at Shatabdi Circle in Jodhpur, allegedly planning a visit to the Sanwariya Seth temple. Despite his attempts to disguise himself among religious devotees, law enforcement acted swiftly on the tip-off and apprehended him before he could escape. Pilwa currently heads the 007 gang, originally founded by Rajuram alias Raju Manju, and continued to oversee criminal activities even while evading authorities.
The arrest warrant against Pilwa was issued following an incident on October 11, 2025, at Lohawat police station, where he and his associates allegedly attacked Shravan Kumar Bishnoi, resulting in injuries and property damage. Pilwa is also implicated in the Dechu police station shooting and the Hanuman Sai murder case, which led to communal unrest in Samrau village. Authorities view this arrest as a significant setback to the 007 gang, reinforcing the AGTF’s tough stance against organized crime.
Raju Pilwa has been transferred to Lohawat police for further investigation and questioning. Officials praised the efforts of DSP Phoolchand Tailor, ASI Rakesh Jakhar, Constables Maganaram and Sumer Singh, and particularly Constable Sunil for his crucial intelligence contribution.
