Hollywood actress Anya Taylor-Joy revealed her challenging experience voicing Princess Peach for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Taylor-Joy, known for her role in ‘The Queen’s Gambit,’ admitted to feeling overwhelmed during her first recording session for the original 2023 film ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie.’ She described the intensity of continuously yelling during the recording, even mentioning that she vomited during her first session.
The actress also discussed the process of recording “efforts,” likening it to an action sequence where she had to stand alone in a booth for extended periods. Taylor-Joy humorously shared that one has to slightly disconnect from reality during these sessions, as they can be quite awkward, especially considering they are filmed.
In the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Jack Black will reprise his role as Bowser, with the film set to hit cinemas on April 1. The movie promises numerous Easter eggs that will excite gaming enthusiasts. Alongside Taylor-Joy and Black, the cast includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Brie Larson as Princess Rosalina, and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr. The project is under the direction of Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic.
