Arrested terror suspect Suhail, under police escort for a medical examination at the Government Hospital in Harihara town of Davanagere district, made provocative gestures towards media personnel. Despite his face being masked, Suhail waved and pointed towards television cameras while being taken to and from the hospital. The incident occurred amidst tight security arrangements outside the hospital premises.
Suhail, arrested on June 23 in connection with an alleged terror-related case, has been in custody since then. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been interrogating him as part of the ongoing investigation. However, authorities have not officially commented on the gestures made by Suhail during his hospital visit.
Security personnel swiftly removed Suhail after the medical examination, while media personnel continued to observe from outside the hospital. Suhail, suspected of having links to Pakistan and involvement in terror-related activities in Karnataka’s Davangere district, was arrested in a joint operation by police and Intelligence officials. Preliminary investigations revealed suspicious terrorist-related information on his WhatsApp account.
State Home Minister Priyank Kharge confirmed the arrest and mentioned that a case has been registered at the Harihar Rural Police Station. Investigations have uncovered terror-related content on Suhail’s social media accounts, indicating his alleged involvement in planning an explosion at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
