Actor turned politician Arun Govil stated that Nitish Kumar’s choice to enter the Rajya Sabha is a decision of his party. Govil, known for his role as Lord Ram in Ramayan, arrived in Patna to a warm reception. He refrained from direct comments on Kumar’s move, citing it as an internal party matter and respecting Kumar’s seniority.

Upon landing in Patna, Govil was greeted with chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” showcasing strong support. During his visit, he not only discussed spiritual topics but also touched on current political affairs. Govil praised the government’s decision to lower excise duties on fuel, easing the burden on citizens amidst global price hikes.

Invited by BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Govil expressed a deep emotional bond with Bihar, emphasizing its cultural and spiritual significance. He highlighted Bihar’s association with Goddess Sita and expressed a wish to visit Sitamarhi, Sita’s believed birthplace, for prayers. Govil’s visit during Ram Navami has added political and spiritual importance to the state’s celebrations.

Speaking about his new role as a Member of Parliament, Govil affirmed his dedication to serving the people of Meerut diligently and sincerely.
