Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) highlighted the strategic importance of the state following recent arrests of suspected agents. He warned about potential disturbances by external forces and neighboring elements in the border state, emphasizing the need for constant vigilance and preparedness to maintain peace and stability.

During a security review meeting in Itanagar, Governor Parnaik stressed the paramount importance of ensuring the safety and security of the people. He called for efforts to eliminate fear and boost citizens’ confidence, especially in the wake of the apprehension of five individuals from Jammu and Kashmir for alleged espionage activities linked to Pakistani handlers.

Governor Parnaik underscored the significance of peace and security as the pillars of development, stating that progress is only possible when individuals feel secure in their homes and communities. He urged a people-centric security approach, emphasizing proactive measures by state administration and security agencies to protect lives, livelihoods, and public trust.

Emphasizing the critical role of technology, Governor Parnaik urged the utilization of modern tools by security forces and civil administration to enhance the state’s security apparatus. He highlighted the importance of district-level administrations remaining vigilant, particularly in sensitive and border areas, to address security challenges effectively.
