Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd.) K.T. Parnaik praised the recent local body elections for their well-executed planning and coordination. The State Election Commissioner briefed the Governor on the successful conclusion of the Panchayati Raj and local body elections. Lt. General Parnaik (Retd.) highlighted the importance of empowering grassroots democracy through transparent and participatory electoral processes.

The Governor applauded the District Administrations and state police for their cooperation during the elections. He emphasized that the orderly conduct of the elections showcased meticulous planning and efficient execution by all stakeholders. The elections, with a high voter turnout, were seen as a significant step in strengthening democratic values in the state.

The security arrangements for the elections were commended by the Governor for ensuring a peaceful voting environment. He appreciated the efforts of security forces in maintaining vigilance and professionalism to prevent any disruptions.
