He praised veterans for their sacrifices and contributions to the nation’s development. The Governor stressed the need for rehabilitation, job reservations, and medical support for ex-servicemen and their families.
Lieutenant General Parnaik (Retd) commended ex-servicemen for their dedicated service and unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security. He urged for greater societal respect and welfare support for Veer Naris, emphasizing the protection of their pension rights and access to quality education. The Governor advocated for enhanced job opportunities and medical assistance through the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS).
General Officer Commanding’s (GOC) 56 Infantry Division, Major General Vivek Bakshi, and Air Commodore Rinchin Dorji Musabi (Retd.), highlighted welfare schemes and initiatives for ex-servicemen and their families. Governor Parnaik, along with other officials, felicitated ex-servicemen, recognizing their service and achievements. The rally saw over 1,300 ex-servicemen and Veer Naris from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam come together in solidarity and shared purpose.
