Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General K.T. Parnaik (Retd) paid tribute to military veterans and honored soldiers’ sacrifices at a veterans rally. He highlighted their role in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and unity. The rally, named ‘Strengthening Connect with Ex-Servicemen Community,’ was organized by the Indian Army at Likabali in Arunachal Pradesh.
The event saw over 1,500 veterans, Veer Naris, serving soldiers, Next of Kin, and dependents participating, showcasing the strong bond between the Armed Forces and veterans. The rally aimed to address veterans’ concerns, including pension disbursement anomalies, legal matters, and challenges faced by them and their families. Representatives from various organizations provided assistance and guidance to veterans at the venue.
The rally also focused on resettlement schemes, second career avenues, and re-employment opportunities for veterans. A medical camp was set up to cater to the healthcare needs of attendees. This initiative was crucial in addressing routine challenges faced by veterans and Veer Naris, fostering interaction with authorities, and emphasizing the commitment of the Army and civil administration to veteran welfare.
