Arunachal Pradesh Lok Bhavan marked Uttar Pradesh Diwas with an event in Itanagar for Uttar Pradesh residents in the state. The celebration embodied the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) emphasized the importance of such events in promoting unity and national integration, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Governor commended the active involvement of Uttar Pradesh residents and acknowledged the state’s progress under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Uttar Pradesh was recognized as a significant center for information technology, spirituality, pilgrimage, and tourism. This was seen as a representation of India’s advancement rooted in its rich traditions.
Extending State Foundation Day wishes, the Governor appreciated the contributions of Uttar Pradesh residents in Arunachal Pradesh to the state’s growth and social fabric. He highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s historical legacy in cultural heritage, arts, and its role in India’s independence movement. Such shared platforms were noted to foster mutual understanding and unity among diverse cultures, showcasing India’s unity in diversity.
Cultural performances, including traditional presentations by the Uttar Pradesh community and folk dances by Arunachali children, added vibrancy to the celebration. Students from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya performed patriotic and Bhojpuri dances, while a devotional Kirtan by Sachindr Kr Maharaj and team added a spiritual touch. The Governor and First Lady Anagha Parnaik engaged warmly with students during high tea, enhancing the event’s significance for the young participants.
