Alleging that the BJP has undermined democracy, Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of AAP, addressed AAP MLAs from Punjab in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Kejriwal highlighted the state’s pro-incumbency even after four years in power, emphasizing the government’s growing public support.
During the meeting at the official residence of the Punjab CM in New Delhi, Kejriwal criticized the BJP for vote manipulation, alleged Rajya Sabha seat theft, and withholding the state’s rightful dues. He praised the Punjab government’s performance, noting the absence of anti-incumbency sentiments and widespread public appreciation.
Expressing concerns over democracy’s state nationwide, Kejriwal accused the BJP of hijacking and dismantling democratic principles. He cited instances of electoral malpractices, misuse of investigative agencies, and vote manipulation across various states, including his own constituency in New Delhi.
Kejriwal urged the AAP MLAs to work diligently for the upcoming Punjab elections, cautioning against the BJP’s alleged plans to harm Punjab’s interests if they come to power. He emphasized the need to educate the public about the BJP’s purported anti-Punjab agenda and the potential consequences for the state.
