Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) aspirants to refrain from taking extreme measures in response to the stress and depression caused by the cancellation of the medical entrance exam. Kejriwal, through a post on social media platform X, encouraged students to express their emotions and suggestions either through comments or direct messages, assuring them of support.
Citing instances of student suicides reportedly linked to NEET-related stress, Kejriwal mentioned cases of four students who took their lives in different parts of the country. He acknowledged the distress faced by students, emphasizing the importance of not resorting to extreme actions. Kejriwal, drawing from his own exam experiences, empathized with the pressure students endure during competitive exams.
While acknowledging the challenges students face, Kejriwal highlighted that suicide is not a solution and emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to address NEET-related issues. He urged students experiencing emotional turmoil to reach out to him for support and solutions, inviting them to share their suggestions on reforming the NEET examination process. Kejriwal emphasized the collective responsibility in finding resolutions to the challenges posed by the exam’s cancellation.
