AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of having a strong affinity for Israel due to shared ideologies. Owaisi highlighted the alleged basis of hatred in the ideologies of both Zionists and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He criticized Modi for openly backing Israel’s ‘genocidal regime,’ stating that such support is not in India’s national interest.
Owaisi, speaking at the Jalsa-e-Youm-ul-Qur’an event in Hyderabad, condemned Israel for reportedly killing 73,000 Palestinians in Gaza. He suggested that while Modi could have criticized Hamas, he should have also denounced Israeli terrorism. The AIMIM leader described Israel as the only racist nation globally, accusing Zionists of turning the West Bank and Gaza into open prisons and demolishing Palestinian homes.
The MP reminded Modi of an International Criminal Court warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, preventing him from visiting Europe. Owaisi expressed concern over Modi’s actions drawing attention from the Global South and potentially impacting India’s standing in the bloc. He highlighted historical ties between Zionists and RSS, alleging interactions dating back to the 1960s between Israeli officials and Jan Sangh representatives.
Owaisi emphasized his advocacy for Palestine, citing its significance as the third-holiest site for Muslims and a matter of justice. He called for isolating Israel in the pursuit of justice. The AIMIM leader criticized the diversion of focus to issues like Hindu atrocities in Bangladesh when discussing Palestinian massacres. He questioned Modi’s silence on potential US attacks on Iran despite his anti-war stance during visits to other countries.
Expressing alarm over rising hate crimes and targeted attacks against Muslims in India, especially during Ramzan, Owaisi accused the ruling establishments of fostering an environment of fear and hatred. He raised concerns about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana, alleging BJP’s intentions to manipulate voter lists and undermine civic integrity.
