AIMIM president and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi has reached out to the Consul General of India in Dubai for urgent assistance in bringing back the body of Mohammed Arief Ahmed, a Hyderabad resident who passed away in the UAE under unclear circumstances. Ahmed, who had traveled to Dubai for work as a sales executive at Sharjah Airport, left his family in Hyderabad distressed and seeking answers. Owaisi’s letter dated April 17 highlights the family’s desire to perform the last rites in Hyderabad and the need for official support to repatriate Ahmed’s remains to India.
Owaisi emphasized the importance of prompt action by the Consulate to facilitate the final rites without delay, as Ahmed’s parents await the return of their son’s body. The MP also provided contact details of Ahmed’s brother in Dubai, who is assisting authorities with the repatriation process. Repatriation in such cases involves coordination among local authorities, the Indian mission, and the family, often requiring various clearances and documentation.
The family’s distress and the urgency of the situation have prompted Owaisi to intervene and request necessary assistance from the Consulate to bring Ahmed’s remains back to India swiftly. As the formalities for repatriation continue, the family hopes for a quick resolution with the Consulate’s support.
