Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has raised concerns over the handling of the alleged paper leak case by the Rajasthan government and the Special Operations Group. Gehlot criticized the Special Operations Group for not registering a First Information Report despite complaints and arrests related to the leak. He emphasized the need for transparency in dealing with such matters and questioned why a formal case was not filed.
Gehlot also called out the Centre for the recurring examination leaks and urged the PM Modi-led government to focus on preventing such incidents. He highlighted the cancellation of the National Testing Agency’s examination as a serious reflection of the issue. Additionally, Gehlot mentioned the role of coaching institutes in such incidents and stressed that a thorough investigation is necessary to reveal the complete facts.
According to Gehlot, the Rajasthan government had prior intelligence about the matter, leading to arrests by the Special Operations Group. He suggested that proactive measures and coordination with the Central government could have handled the situation more effectively. Gehlot further inquired about the absence of a First Information Report in the case and demanded clarification on the reasons behind this decision.
Students reportedly raised concerns about the alleged paper leak immediately after the May 3 examination. Despite complaints, the grievances were not promptly addressed. Following student complaints, the National Testing Agency was informed, leading to the involvement of the Director General of Police and subsequent arrests by the Special Operations Group.
