In a surprising move, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has canceled the results of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 shortly after they were published on its official website, causing concern among candidates in the state.

The cancellation was attributed to an “inadvertent error” in the earlier result notification, as stated in the official announcement by the Commission on the same day.

Following the cancellation, the Commission assured that a fresh select list would be released promptly after a thorough re-examination of the results.

The sudden reversal of the results has left many aspirants anxious and confused, especially considering the significance of this examination for securing top administrative positions in Assam.

Expressing disappointment over the lack of transparency, candidates and civil society groups have called for greater accountability and timely explanations from the Commission.

APSC officials have refrained from providing detailed explanations, citing an ongoing review process, with revised results expected to be published once the verification is completed.

The Combined Competitive Examination holds immense importance in Assam, determining the recruitment for various administrative and allied services, impacting the futures of numerous candidates who have dedicated years to preparing for this exam.
