The Assam Rifles organized a humanitarian outreach program at Happiness Home Orphanage in Manipur’s Churachandpur district, benefiting 50 children and 10 elderly residents, including some with HIV. Relief materials were distributed, and three water storage tanks were provided to ensure access to safe drinking water, along with ration supplies to meet nutritional needs, improving living conditions at the orphanage. Additionally, sports equipment and a desktop computer were donated to promote physical fitness, teamwork, healthy competition, and enhance learning opportunities for the children.

The initiative by the Assam Rifles aimed at holistic development also included the distribution of sports equipment and a desktop computer to the orphanage. This effort is expected to enhance the children’s physical fitness, teamwork, and digital literacy, preparing them for modern educational requirements. The program concluded with a heartwarming interaction between the Assam Rifles officials and the children, fostering a sense of care and solidarity in Manipur.

In a separate incident, the Spearhead Division of the Indian Army’s Spear Corps provided timely assistance to civilians in Menchuka, Arunachal Pradesh, during adverse weather conditions. When a civilian vehicle skidded off the road near Yorko village due to dense fog, troops promptly rescued the driver, administered first aid, and safely recovered the vehicle, ensuring normalcy in the area.
