Reaffirming its dedication to guiding the local community, especially the youth, towards peace and progress, Assam Rifles organized various outreach programs in Manipur. These initiatives, held on Thursday and Friday, aimed to motivate young individuals to focus on education, make wise career decisions, and lead healthy lifestyles. The activities also focused on building trust and fostering goodwill between the security forces and local residents.
Assam Rifles personnel engaged in an outreach program in Thanlon, Pherzawl district, where nearly 200 locals, including students, actively participated. During the event, a senior official interacted with village elders and leaders to discuss regional development, education, and youth opportunities. A motivational session encouraged students to work hard, maintain discipline, and contribute positively to society.
To promote teamwork and unity among the youth, an exhibition football match for both boys and girls was organized as part of the outreach efforts. Local residents appreciated Assam Rifles’ endeavors and expressed a sense of comfort and security from such engagements.
Continuing the initiative, Assam Rifles conducted an interactive program for 200 students at Hill Academy in Phaibem village. The event showcased military equipment, sparking curiosity and offering students insights into security forces’ operations. An inspirational film screening aimed to instill values of patriotism, discipline, courage, and dedication among the students.
Moreover, at Assam Rifles Public School in New Keithelmanbi, a yoga session was organized for 75 students in preparation for the 12th International Day of Yoga. Trained instructors led the students through yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques, emphasizing the importance of physical fitness and mental well-being. Through these initiatives, Assam Rifles continues to inspire and empower young minds while fostering trust and goodwill in Manipur.
