Swift action by Assam Rifles troops in Jairampur town of Arunachal Pradesh averted a potential disaster when a medical store caught fire. The timely response helped prevent loss of lives and property, with the security personnel managing to control the situation and contain the blaze.

Defence spokesman Lt Col Mahendra Rawat commended the troops for their quick thinking and alertness in rushing to the spot upon receiving the alert. The Quick Reaction Team arrived equipped with water hoses and firefighting gear, effectively extinguishing the fire and preventing its spread to nearby establishments.

The coordinated efforts of the Assam Rifles troops under challenging conditions saved valuable medical supplies, the building, and neighboring shops. Lt Col Rawat emphasized that their actions not only showcased the commitment to security but also highlighted the dedication to assisting the local community during emergencies.

The incident underscores the strong civil-military cooperation and preparedness of Assam Rifles in responding decisively to crises, earning praise from both residents and authorities for their proactive measures.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army’s construction of a double-storey homestay in the remote border village of Taksing under the Vibrant Village Program aims to enhance community welfare and promote border tourism in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Subansiri District. The project, part of ‘Operation Sadbhavna,’ signifies efforts to generate sustainable livelihood opportunities for the local populace.
