Australia has solidified its position as the leading team in the ICC Women’s T20I Team Rankings, maintaining the top spot with 287 rating points. This update, which gives full weightage to matches since May 2025 and partial weightage to the preceding two years, sees Australia extending its lead over England, who hold the second position with 12 points behind.
The top 16 teams in the rankings have remained consistent, showcasing the stability among the top sides in women’s T20I cricket. Defending T20 World Cup champions New Zealand hold the fourth spot with 253 points, followed by South Africa in fifth place with 243 points.
In the mid-table rankings, the West Indies and Sri Lanka are closely positioned at sixth and seventh, separated by just one point. Pakistan maintains the eighth spot with 216 points, while Ireland and Bangladesh complete the top 10 with a narrow margin between them.
Notable movements in the rankings include the United States climbing two places to 20th with a rating of 98, indicating their steady progress in international cricket. Germany has also made significant strides, gaining 10 rating points to secure the 29th position in the rankings.
Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to take place in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5. The tournament will witness the participation of 12 teams, including host England, Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, and other qualified nations, promising an intense and competitive global event.
