Australia is set to tour Bangladesh for a white-ball series, featuring three One-Day International (ODI) matches and three T20Is, scheduled from June 9 to 21. The ODI matches will take place on June 9, 11, and 14 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, followed by three T20Is at the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram on June 17, 19, and 21.
This series marks Australia’s return to Bangladesh after 15 years, with their last ODI cricket in the country dating back to 2011. Notably, the upcoming matches will be held at the same venue in Dhaka’s Mirpur district where Michael Clarke debuted as Australia’s captain.
Following their recent T20 World Cup disappointment, Australia’s matches against Bangladesh hold significance as they aim to bounce back. Before heading to Bangladesh, Australia is scheduled to play three ODIs in Pakistan, starting from May 30, with a potential clash with the 2026 Indian Premier League final on May 31.
Australia’s upcoming matches in Pakistan and Bangladesh are crucial in their preparation for the ODI World Cup in southern Africa next year. The team’s build-up includes additional one-day matches in Zimbabwe and South Africa in September, followed by a series against England in November.
