Skipper Alyssa Healy’s remarkable innings of 158 runs and Beth Mooney’s unbeaten 106 led Australia Women to a total of 409/7 in 50 overs against India in the third ODI at the Bellerive Oval. Healy, opening for the final time in ODIs, received a guard of honor from the Indian team.
Australia started cautiously, scoring 27 runs in the initial five overs. Despite losing Phoebe Litchfield early, Healy continued aggressively, smashing three boundaries off Renuka Singh Thakur. Georgia Voll’s attacking play added pressure on India, with her 62 off 52 and a crucial partnership of 104 runs with Healy.
Healy accelerated her innings, reaching her half-century in 49 balls and eventually scoring 158 off 98 deliveries, including 27 fours and two sixes. After her departure, Mooney took charge, reaching her fifty in 54 balls and eventually an unbeaten 106 as Australia reached 409/7. India fought back in the final overs, but Mooney’s aggressive batting propelled Australia past the 400-run mark.
