During his three-day State Visit to Seychelles at the invitation of President Patrick Herminie, PM Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the Peace Park in Victoria. He also visited the Arulmigu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple, acknowledging the Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam for promoting Indian culture and spirituality in Seychelles.
Interacting with the Indian diaspora and friends of India in Seychelles, PM Modi praised their contributions to the socio-economic development of Seychelles. He highlighted the significant role played by the Indian community in strengthening the enduring partnership between India and Seychelles.
Attending the golden jubilee celebrations of Seychelles National Day as the Guest of Honour, PM Modi expressed pride in India’s supportive role in Seychelles’ development journey. He received the ‘Guardian of the Blue Horizon’ award, recognizing his leadership in environmental conservation and sustainable development.
