Author Harinder Sikka, known for “Dhurandhar,” has voiced disappointment regarding the cinematic rendition of his 2008 book “Calling Sehmat,” which inspired the movie “Raazi” starring Alia Bhatt and directed by Meghna Gulzar. Sikka highlighted that while his book remains influential globally, delving into cross-border tensions and criminal networks, he feels the film failed to capture the essence of the original narrative. Despite the book’s enduring popularity over nearly two decades, Sikka expressed regret over the adaptation process and the portrayal of the protagonist’s true spirit on screen.
