Owners of various establishments in Reasi district, including hotels, guesthouses, and shops, have been directed to provide employee information to authorities. This directive, issued under Section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita by the Additional District Magistrate, aims to ensure safety at popular pilgrimage sites in the district. The order requires businesses to submit details such as employees’ names, ages, addresses, Aadhaar numbers, and contact information within 39 days.
The district, home to revered shrines like Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and Shri Shiv Khori, attracts numerous visitors daily. To prevent any potential risks and verify employees working in commercial establishments, this step has been deemed essential. The order emphasizes the need for safety measures for both the general public and pilgrims frequenting these holy sites. It also warns of consequences for non-compliance under Section 223 of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Authorities stress the importance of this initiative to safeguard the well-being of visitors and maintain security standards. The Senior Superintendent of Police in Reasi has been entrusted with enforcing this order diligently to ensure full compliance from all businesses. Business owners are urged to adhere to the submission requirements promptly to avoid any punitive actions.
