The Axis My India exit poll suggests a significant advantage for the United Democratic Front in Kerala, potentially marking the end of the Left Democratic Front’s rule. The poll indicates that the United Democratic Front could secure 78 to 90 seats in the 140-member Assembly, well above the majority threshold.
In contrast, the Left Democratic Front, led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, is projected to win between 49 and 62 seats. The National Democratic Alliance, on the other hand, is expected to have a marginal presence with 0 to 3 seats. The United Democratic Front leads in vote share at 44%, followed by the Left Democratic Front at 39%, and the National Democratic Alliance at 14%.
Regionally, the United Democratic Front has performed strongly in Kochi and Malabar, while the Left Democratic Front has maintained its ground in Travancore. Notably, although Pinarayi Vijayan is favored by 33% as Chief Minister, a significant 26% of voters are inclined towards a change, benefiting the United Democratic Front.
