The Ministry of Ayush announced that the Ayush tableau at the Republic Day Parade 2026 will highlight the National Ayush Mission’s contribution to strengthening traditional medicine within the national health framework. The theme, “Ayush ka Tantra, Swasthya ka Mantra,” signifies India’s progress in health, self-reliance, and traditional knowledge. This tableau aims to emphasize health as a crucial aspect of national resilience, reflecting India’s commitment to a self-reliant and inclusive society rooted in its heritage while addressing modern healthcare needs.
The presentation will feature a symbolic representation of traditional knowledge and nature, showcasing sculptures of Acharya Charak, Acharya Patanjali, and Acharya Agastya surrounded by medicinal plants. This imagery aims to illustrate Ayush’s philosophy of harmony between human life and the natural world, symbolizing India’s holistic approach to health. The tableau will demonstrate how traditional systems, aligned with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, are empowering communities, enhancing public healthcare, and providing solutions to contemporary health challenges.
Union Minister of State (IC), Ministry of Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, highlighted Ayush as a symbol of India’s confidence in its heritage and its role in shaping a healthier global future. The tableau will showcase India’s commitment to evidence-based, people-centric, and preventive healthcare, positioning Ayush as a crucial component of national wellness. It will also depict India’s evolution as a digitally empowered wellness leader, featuring NAM’s technology-driven platforms that enhance healthcare access, transparency, and outreach.
Celebrating India’s diverse therapeutic traditions, the tableau will include three-dimensional murals of marma, shirodhara, and cupping, paying homage to pioneers of major Ayush systems worldwide. Interactive mascot elements representing key Ayush digital applications like Y-Break Pro, WHO mYoga, Namaste Yoga, and Prakriti Parikshan will enhance citizen engagement. The tableau’s conclusion will portray a Government Ayurveda Medical College, symbolizing institutional continuity, education, and excellence, reinforcing Ayush’s significance in India’s public health and global wellness leadership.
