Expanding the reach of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), the state health department in Madhya Pradesh is providing Ayushman cards to Anganwadi and ASHA workers in Neemuch district. These workers, crucial for maternal and child health services, are now beneficiaries of the healthcare scheme, enabling them and their families to access its benefits. The distribution of ‘Ayushman Cards’ has been met with appreciation from the workers, who see it as a significant step towards improving healthcare access.
The issuance of ‘Ayushman Cards’ to Anganwadi and ASHA-Usha workers in Neemuch has been a positive development. These workers, known for their contributions to rural health services, are now part of the government-funded health insurance scheme. Devkanya Sen, an assistant at Anganwadi Centre No. 3, expressed gratitude for receiving her ‘Ayushman Card’ and commended PM Modi for the initiative. She highlighted the convenience of having access to free medical care up to Rs 5 lakh through the scheme.
Manju Bala Patidar, a worker at Anganwadi Centre No. 1, also expressed thanks to the Centre and the state government for facilitating the issuance of ‘Ayushman Cards.’ This inclusion has not only boosted morale but also reinforced their commitment to serving the community with renewed dedication. Rehana, a worker at Anganwadi Centre No. 3, shared her satisfaction with the issuance of the cards and mentioned the ongoing organization of special camps at the centers for this purpose, ensuring continued benefits for the workers.
Ankita Pandya, Program Officer at the Department of Women and Child Development, highlighted the specific directives issued by the administration regarding the distribution of ‘Ayushman Cards.’ She emphasized that all Anganwadi workers and helpers have received the cards, enabling them to access essential medical assistance through the scheme. The workers are appreciative of this initiative, which aims to provide them with improved healthcare support.
