Hitaashee Bakshi and Diksha Dagar are now tied for sixth place in the Australian WPGA Championship, both at 9-under par. Bakshi moved up two spots with a 4-under 67, while Dagar jumped from tied-16th to the top 10 with an impressive 6-under 65.
Meanwhile, Hannah Green is aiming for her third consecutive title after recent wins at the Women’s Australian Open and the HSBC Women’s World Championship. Green, with a 4-under 67, maintains a two-shot lead at 14-under par, closely followed by Vanessa Knecht from Switzerland and Casandra Alexander from South Africa.
Bakshi had a mixed start with two birdies and three bogeys in her first eight holes but recovered well with consecutive birdies and an eagle to finish at 9-under. Dagar, after rounds of 67 and 72, showcased a strong performance, remaining bogey-free through 11 holes and finishing with a 65 despite a lone bogey.
Pranavi Urs, the third Indian in the competition, faced challenges with a 4-over 75 round, including a mix of birdies, bogeys, and a double bogey. Green, a seasoned LPGA winner, acknowledged the pressure of leading and anticipates tough competition, expecting potential record-breaking performances on the final day.
