Baloch armed fighters have carried out a series of attacks targeting Pakistani forces and installations in various districts of Balochistan. These attacks have resulted in casualties among the personnel and the seizure and burning of vehicles transporting minerals. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) declared an “economic blockade,” taking control of major highways in Balochistan and setting over 200 vehicles on fire.
In one incident, a Pakistani military convoy, including bulletproof vehicles and police personnel, was attacked on the N-40 highway near Killi Batto area while heading to Noshki city. The attack reportedly led to casualties among Pakistani security personnel, with a police vehicle also being hit, though the deputy commissioner escaped unharmed. Days earlier, another military convoy near Noshki city was attacked, resulting in casualties and injuries.
Moreover, armed fighters blocked a highway in the Zinda Pir area of Harnai district, conducted searches on passing vehicles, and later destroyed a Levies station and a telecommunications tower using explosives. Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) personnel were also targeted in the Hasri area of Kohlu district, with reports indicating casualties and material damage. In Kharan district, armed fighters fired mortar shells at Pakistani forces during an operation in the Tazina area, causing casualties before the forces retreated.
No group has claimed responsibility for these attacks so far. Earlier, the BLA claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistani military convoy in Mastung district, where they reported significant casualties among security personnel. The attack was described as coordinated and intense by the BLA spokesperson, targeting buses transporting army personnel and reinforcements.
