A Baloch armed group has asserted responsibility for conducting 10 operations against Pakistani forces in various districts of Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of 10 military personnel and four alleged “state agents.” The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, mentioned that the group’s fighters targeted Pakistan’s Frontier Corps (FC) checkpoints, military installations, and individuals identified as “death squad agents” and “state agents.”
The BLF disclosed that during these operations, they confiscated weapons and destroyed surveillance cameras. One of the incidents cited was an attack on the FC checkpoint on Gazi Road in Kharan on May 3, where rockets and grenade launchers were used, causing casualties and material damage. The group accused Pakistani forces of firing indiscriminately on civilians post the attack and deploying quadcopters in pursuit of the fighters.
According to the BLF’s statement, they carried out various attacks, including an intelligence-based operation in Washuk, an assault on a military camp in Awaran, and an attack on a Pakistani military checkpoint in Mastung. The group also claimed responsibility for setting up blockades and targeting checkpoints in different areas of Balochistan, resulting in casualties and damage to defensive positions.
