Another Baloch civilian was reportedly extrajudicially killed by Pakistani forces in Balochistan, as stated by a human rights organization. This incident adds to a series of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances in the region. The body of 17-year-old Yahya Baloch was found in Panjgur district after being missing for five months.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) disclosed that Yahya was forcibly disappeared by a Pakistan-backed death squad on October 1, 2025. The BYC emphasized that such cases highlight the severe human rights crisis in Balochistan. Enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings persist even during Ramadan, a month of mercy and justice, affecting Baloch families.
The BYC urged the United Nations and international human rights organizations to promptly investigate these violations in Balochistan and hold the responsible parties accountable. In a separate incident, the Baloch National Movement’s Human Rights Department reported that Pakistani forces had forcibly disappeared at least nine civilians across Balochistan. The victims included students, businessmen, and youths taken from their homes in various districts.
The atrocities against civilians in Balochistan continue unabated, with reports of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings by Pakistani forces escalating. The situation underscores the urgent need for attention and action from the international community to address the ongoing human rights abuses in the region.
