At least two Baloch civilians were reportedly extrajudicially killed in Balochistan by Pakistani forces, as stated by a human rights organization. These incidents are occurring amidst a rise in targeted killings and enforced disappearances in the province. One victim, Balach Khalid from Turbat city, was allegedly killed by a Pakistan-backed death squad after experiencing multiple enforced disappearances. The rights body mentioned that armed motorcyclists associated with the “death squad” shot Balach and quickly fled the scene.

Paank, the Baloch National Movement’s Human Rights Department, disclosed that another Baloch civilian, 60-year-old Babu Atta Muhammad Badini, was fatally shot by the Pakistani Army in the Killi Qazi Abad area of Nushki district. The organization highlighted the continuous use of lethal force against civilians in Balochistan by Pakistani forces. Additionally, the enforced disappearance of a 15-year-old student, Hasnain Baloch, was reported on February 3 in Quetta by the Pakistan Army.

In its recent annual human rights report titled “A Year of Repression: Balochistan 2025,” Paank documented numerous human rights violations in the province. The report detailed 1,355 cases of enforced disappearances, 225 extrajudicial killings, and repeated aerial attacks on civilian areas. It also alleged the systematic suppression of peaceful civic movements and restrictions on information to silence victims’ families and witnesses. According to Paank, Pakistani forces, including the military, intelligence agencies, and Frontier Corps, have intensified their actions against the Baloch population through enforced disappearances, extrajudicial executions, and the use of advanced aerial warfare technology.
