Leading Baloch human rights defender, Mir Yar Baloch, has written to Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, highlighting Pakistan’s backing of Hamas and its alliance with Iran’s revolutionary axis. He expressed concern that this alignment fuels violence, impacting regional stability from the Middle East to South Asia. Mir emphasized that Israel’s security challenges are intertwined with state-sponsored extremism and geopolitical tensions.
In his letter to the Israeli Foreign Minister, Mir conveyed greetings for the New Year 2026 on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Balochistan. He acknowledged the strategic challenges faced by Israel due to Pakistan’s support for extremist groups like Hamas and its alignment with Iran. These dynamics, according to him, have led to conflict and instability, posing threats to Israeli and international security interests.
Mir pointed out that any future changes in Iran’s political landscape would be unstable without addressing the issue of “internal colonialism.” He highlighted Iran’s dominance over non-Persian nations like Balochistan, Kurdistan, and Al-Ahwaz, leading to grievances, unrest, and regional interventions. These oppressed nations, he stressed, lack basic rights, self-determination, and political representation under Tehran’s authority.
The human rights activist emphasized that the “liberation of Balochistan from Pakistani occupation” would disrupt Pakistan’s ability to sponsor terrorism and cut off extremist support networks that endanger global security. He also mentioned that a free Balochistan could provide strategic sea access and secure economic routes for regional trade, aligning with Israel’s interests in secure trade corridors and diversified partnerships.
