The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) announced that it executed seven Pakistani military members captured during ‘Operation Herof II’ as ordered by the Senior Command Council. The BLA stated that these individuals were sentenced by the ‘Baloch National Court’ for various crimes, including enforced disappearances and abuses against civilians.
The BLA initially set a seven-day ultimatum for a prisoner exchange, later extended to 14 days on humanitarian grounds. However, the group alleged that Pakistani military authorities showed a lack of seriousness in releasing their personnel. The BLA accused Pakistani forces of using the negotiation period to advance militarily in the region.
According to the BLA, the humanitarian grace period was exploited by Pakistani forces to escalate hostilities and target Baloch fighters. The group criticized the Pakistani military for prioritizing ego and military actions over the lives of its personnel. The BLA held Pakistan’s high command responsible for the deaths of the seven military personnel.
