The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has initiated a five-day campaign to address the issue of enforced disappearances of Baloch women. The campaign aims to raise awareness, document experiences, and enhance collective resistance against this injustice. BYC highlighted that while enforced disappearances historically targeted Baloch men, the practice has now extended to Baloch women, who are being forcibly disappeared by Pakistani law enforcement agencies and local militant groups. This campaign seeks to combat this violation of human rights and the dignity of the Baloch community. It includes activities such as launching an online petition, sharing testimonies, artistic expressions, symbolic protests, and a webinar to address the escalating cases of enforced disappearances of women. Additionally, a human rights organization reported the recent enforced disappearance of two Baloch women by Pakistani forces, emphasizing the urgent need for accountability and an end to such actions.
