The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has asserted responsibility for an assault on a Pakistani military camp in Jhao and the obstruction of a key highway in Kharan, Balochistan province. The group’s spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, mentioned that the attack on the military camp in Kohadu area of Jhao resulted in casualties among personnel. The operation involved a sniper attack followed by a coordinated assault using rocket launchers and automatic weapons.
In a separate incident, the BLF fighters blocked Nourozabad Road in the Sarawan area of Kharan on April 14, maintaining control of the highway for several hours and conducting search operations. The group warned against aiding Pakistani forces, threatening direct targeting of those providing support. The BLF emphasized its commitment to conducting armed operations against Pakistani forces and their supporters until achieving what it deems as the “complete independence of Balochistan.”
The BLF previously claimed responsibility for coordinated attacks on telecommunications infrastructure and a Frontier Corps (FC) post in Balochistan, resulting in casualties and significant material damage. Major Gwahram Baloch stated that the group’s fighters set fire to machinery at a mobile tower site in the Bhawani area of Hub Chowki and launched rocket fire at an FC post in the Charfanok area of Shehrak, causing losses and casualties. The BLF spokesperson also mentioned the destruction of machinery at a Ufone telecommunications tower during the same incident.
