The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has acknowledged carrying out attacks in Kech district, resulting in the deaths of three Pakistani personnel and critical injuries to four others. The armed group also targeted Pakistan-backed death squads in Washuk district, killing three operatives, as reported by local media. BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch stated that the attacks were in response to verified intelligence, with one death squad operative captured by the BLF.
The BLF fighters launched an assault on the state-backed “death squad” in the Garari area of Washuk, where the death squads had set up a temporary checkpoint on the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) highway. Allegedly involved in extortion and harassment of drivers, the death squad operatives were confronted by BLF fighters, resulting in the death of three operatives and the capture of one individual. The detained person, identified as Chakar, son of Sher Muhammad, is currently under interrogation by the BLF.
In a separate incident, the BLF conducted a coordinated attack on a Pakistani army camp in the Malant area of Tump in Kech. Using various weapons, including rockets, snipers, RPGs, and grenade launchers, the BLF fighters killed three Pakistani army personnel and critically wounded four others. The group also destroyed surveillance cameras at the camp and warned of further actions against those opposing the Baloch movement. These attacks add to the recent surge in violence by Baloch militant groups targeting Pakistani military and police forces in Balochistan.
