The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has taken responsibility for attacks in Ormara and Surab regions of Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of six Pakistani soldiers. BLF fighters targeted a joint Pakistan Frontier Corps (FC) and police checkpoint in Surab Bazaar, killing two FC personnel and injuring three others. Additionally, the BLF launched an assault on a Pakistani military camp in Ormara, resulting in the deaths of three personnel and injuries to several others.
The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) also claimed responsibility for a grenade attack on police in Kachhi district. The attack in Dhadar city resulted in casualties and material losses to the police, according to BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch. Both groups emphasized their commitment to continuing such attacks until the freedom of Balochistan is achieved.
The BLF stated that Pakistani forces retaliated with machine-gun fire and mortars after the attacks, but the BLF fighters withdrew safely. The groups reiterated their determination to carry on the struggle until the goals of their martyrs are realized. The people of Balochistan are currently engaged in a fight for independence from Pakistan, with various human rights organizations highlighting alleged repression by Pakistani forces in the region.
