The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled a 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against England. The team will see the return of senior players Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. Shubman Gill will lead the squad, with Shreyas Iyer serving as the vice-captain for the tour starting on July 14.
Kohli, who had a hamstring injury during IPL 2026, missed the recent ODI series against Afghanistan but is back pending fitness clearance. Bumrah, rested for the Afghanistan series, is set to lead India’s pace attack in English conditions. Hardik Pandya will not be returning to the squad due to a setback in his rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has been left out of the team following Kohli’s return, while Gurnoor Brar retains his spot after impressive performances in the previous series. The ODI tour of England will kick off on July 14 at Edgbaston, followed by matches at Sophia Gardens on July 16 and Lord’s on July 19.
Spinner Varun Chakravarthy will miss the T20I series against Ireland due to a left foot injury sustained during IPL 2026. The BCCI has confirmed that his recovery is in the final stages.
