The board plans surprise checks to ensure strict compliance with the league’s regulations and operational guidelines, prohibiting unauthorized entry into team members’ rooms without prior approval.
In response to instances of vaping within restricted areas like dressing rooms, the BCCI has warned of legal consequences for offenders. Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag was reportedly seen vaping during a match, prompting the BCCI to emphasize the prohibition of vapes and e-cigarettes under Indian law. The directive highlights that such actions not only breach BCCI and IPL rules but may also constitute a punishable offense under the law.
Franchise owners have been instructed by the BCCI to refrain from communicating with players or coaching staff in the dugout during matches. It is essential to avoid any interactions with players or staff in the dugout while a match is ongoing, as per the board’s directives.
