The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the itinerary for India’s senior men’s international home matches for the 2026-27 season. The schedule includes matches against West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Australia, spanning 17 cities with a total of 22 games. Fans across the country will have the opportunity to witness high-quality international cricket.
One notable highlight is the return of international games to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru after a hiatus since October 2024. The stadium, approved by the government to host Indian Premier League and international matches, had faced a suspension in 2024 due to a tragic incident during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s celebrations.
Another significant announcement is the inclusion of the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati as a venue for a Border-Gavaskar series Test for the first time. This decision follows the stadium’s successful hosting of a red-ball game in 2025, marking a milestone for cricket in the region.
The season commences with the West Indies’ tour of India, featuring a series of ODIs and T20Is across various cities. Subsequent series include Sri Lanka’s visit for white-ball matches, Zimbabwe’s ODI series, and the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The series promises intense competition between two cricketing powerhouses.
