BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla has clarified that an audio clip circulating on a Pakistani TV show, supposedly featuring his comments on the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match, was manipulated using artificial intelligence. Shukla emphasized that the altered audio does not represent his actual statements and urged people not to share or believe such misleading content.

The audio clip, aired on a Pakistani cricket show hosted by Shoaib Malik on ARY News, misrepresented Shukla’s remarks regarding Pakistan’s decision to play against India. Despite the altered audio suggesting otherwise, Shukla’s original comments praised the ICC for facilitating a resolution that ensured the scheduled India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match would proceed.

Shukla commended the ICC for its efforts in reaching an amicable solution that prioritized the cricketing spirit between India and Pakistan. His genuine remarks, shared with reporters, highlighted the importance of cricket and the collaborative approach taken by cricketing authorities to ensure the high-profile match’s continuation.
